What an inspiration for the Flyers - especially heading into the playoffs (if it actually happens). Great to see the rest of the league respond with such positivity for Oskar as well.

Congrats to Oskar and his family. I’m sure they are overwhelmed with emotion.

Congrats to TK for receiving the Toyota cup award. Well deserved. He was a beast this season.

Whatever Oscar does on the ice from now on (and even if he does nothing ever) he should be an inspiration to all.

I have known far older adults (with far less of their lives and professions likely remaining) take a cancer diagnosis very badly indeed.

Hemingway once wrote, "Courage is grace under pressure."

If so, then Oscar is among the most courageous.

I’m not sure I can say what hearing about Oskar yesterday means to me, but I want to try.

So this week I ordered an outfit, and I hated myself for doing it. You see, I ordered it to wear at a funeral for someone who hasn’t died. Shopping in multiple stores being really hard right now. When it happens, I won’t have any time, and I’ll need to drop everything and drive there. When faced with the realities of those who fought cancer but didn’t make it, it’s so very important to remember and be constantly reminded that sometimes somebody wins. That’s why it’s worth it to fight.

Oskar is such an example.

You did more than try. What a thing to be faced with and to have to do.

Extremely well said.

TK had a break through season for sure. I was worried with his holdout through a chunk of the pre-season but he hit the ground running overseas and never looked back. That draft year was so thick with talent. To think the Flyers got both TK and Provy out of that first round. Geez.

I'm still amazed that they ended up with TK, Niskanen, and Allison for 2 months of Zhitnik and 2 months of a broken down Timonen.

Hexy did an amazing job of managing and picking his draft assets.
